LFC 21 Day Fast

STAY STRONG! IT’S THE
Tomorrow will mark 2 days left of our 4th Annual 21 Day Fast. I want you to be aware of a trap. You’re doing great keeping your fast but for whatever reason the temptation to break it may be stronger than ever. This is a common experience when fasting for a pre-determined amount of time. You’re nearing the end and satan tries to bring distraction and places opportunity to break your fast right under your nose (pun was intended)!
I’m going to expose an aged old trick the devil uses to rob us of the complete blessing God has for us. The “Almost” trap. He loves to use our moment of weakness and couple that with guilt for “messing up” our fast. His hope is that we will end our fast altogether. Then he will pile on more guilt by reminding us we “almost” finished our fast but didn’t!
Listen, today or tomorrow is no different from the first days of your fast. Remember we said, “If you momentarily or accidentally break your fast, don’t think you’ve ruined it. Jump right back on the fast and keep it until God says you are finished.
Pay attention to this scripture. My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: (1 John 2:1 KJV) Notice that the whole idea is that we are to keep ourselves from sin but then the second sentence starts, “And If you do sin”. This is an indication that while God hates sin and commands us to “sin not” and to “be holy for I am holy”, He also knows there are times we will give in to our sin nature. So God gave His Son not only to be the sacrifice for our sins but also to be THE ONE who can go to The Heavenly Father on our behalf when we fail.
Remember this scripture:
For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief. (Proverbs 24:16 KJV)
So your fast is a microcosm or small example of your entire life. God is on the mercy seat today and God is a God of second chances.
SO STAY STRONG! WE’RE ABOUT TO RECEIVE OUR REWARD
SUNDAY NIGHT’S THEME: We fasted for FAVOR: now we PRAISE!
Sunday night will mark the end of our 21 days of fasting and prayer. Already, God has moved mightily; bringing healing, deliverance and miraculous breakthrough. We are seeing the evidence of God’s promise to us in His Word:
James 4:8 (KJV)
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
Join us as we “Celebrate Jesus” Sunday night. You don’t want to miss this exciting and wonderful time of praise and worship as we honor the King of all Kings! IT’S ALL ABOUT JESUS!
