THAT’S FUNNY- THAT DANIEL FAST!
Today I wanted to bring a little light-heartedness into our 221 day LFC corporate fast.
Just kidding, it’s only a 21 day fast!
Enjoy these funny quotes, cartoons and stories that have been texted, put on Facebook or shared with me. There’s also a dinner recipe.
Larraine Parsons shared this photo on Facebook: called it the Original Daniel Fasters!
Jalynn Vaught shared this status:
“Well, I asked mom what she was fixing for supper and dad quickly answered, We’re running through ‘McDaniels’ ! I do believe the Daniel Fast is getting to him-lol.”
Randy Reed was trying to explain to his boss that his wife, Cindy, was fasting for 21 days. His boss asked , “You mean she’s going without any food for 21 days?!”
Breaking news: Chocolate is a Vegetable!
Chocolate is derived from cocoa beans. Beans are a vegetable. Sugar is derived from either sugar cane or sugar beets. Both are plants which places them in the vegetable category, too. Thus we can only conclude that chocolate is a vegetable. Who’s in for a chocolate salad? GOOD TRY!

My Reflection on The Pursuit of Christ…….
My God desires to have a relationship with me SO much that He gave his ONLY son to die so that I can be with Him.
While we pursue Christ he is already there waiting on us. He is everywhere we turn and He puts himself wherever we go or whatever we do in order to connect. I have seen this to be true in my time spent in the gym. It started out being something I desired. Too look good, to feel good. But The Lord started revealing himself to me through something I desired. That’s how bad He wants a relationship with us.
I feel to truly pursue Christ is to deny ourselves. I look at my relationship with my wife. While my wife wants me to be happy and do things I enjoy she wants me to enjoy her. She wants to be my desire. In order to make my wife feel truly special would be to do something for her and with her instead of a selfish desire of my own. This is how I feel God wants us to pursue Him. To get to the place where we want to do what HE wants to do. He wants to be with us and spend time with us.
How is this relationship with Christ attained? By giving our life to fulfill the desire of God. The closer we get to Christ the more our desires will align with his.
In conclusion, to PURSUE Christ is to LET GO of oneself.
